Monitoring and Evaluation  Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

Monitoring, evaluation and learning are the foundations of DASCOH’s work. These are very much related to the achievement and the authentication of DASCOH services. In order to verify results on a methodical basis, it regularly monitors and gathers particulars, statistics and information or data and makes use of them to point out personal, organizational and general developments.

International and local independent assessors and specialists examine the results of DASCOH projects. Its assessment structure is totally fair, neutral and self-managed. The monitoring and assessment results provide significant lessons for improving the direction-finding of projects and all its processes. This kind of quality management, evaluation and monitoring make it possible for DASCOH to enhance the quality of the work. The purpose of monitoring is to inform the management and stakeholders about the nature of change of the projects and to improve projects responsiveness to community demands. DASCOH has an active Monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) team who support the project teams to undertake monitoring and evaluation activities. In general the monitoring consists of regular visits to the project areas and meeting the partners. Regular programme monitoring is undertaken by the project personnel with the assistance of MEL team to share the experience regarding the work progress and the findings in the monthly meeting. DASCOH encourages the community to be involved in participatory monitoring process. This team ensures the transmission of relevant program related information. Also this team tries to maximize the impact and make the project stakeholder more responsive to the project through participatory observation, analysis and sharing experiences. Monitoring team members are contributing to take decision on policy and strategy level and further new intervention.
