Project type and goal: 

DASCOH Foundation implement the “SHOMBHABONA” project, funded by the ActionAid Bangladesh supported from the UNFPA, seeks to address this critical issue through norm-shifting education, community mobilization, advocacy, and strategic communication. The project aligns with UNFPA’s CP Output 2.2 and the GPECM goals, focusing on changing harmful gender norms and empowering local actors, especially women and youth, to lead social transformation from 18 August 2025 to 31 December 2025 in the Sador, Nachole and Gomostapur Upazila under Chapainawabgonj District.

Objectives of the project is to
•    Enhance life skills and knowledge among girls to prevent child marriage.
•    Engage men, community leaders, and gatekeepers in value-based discussions.
•    Promote policy dialogue and advocacy at national and local levels.
•    Mobilize civil society and grassroots actors to challenge social norms.
•    Amplify the impact through media and strategic communication.
Expected Outcomes of the project is 
•    1260 individuals engaged in community-based dialogues.
•    Strengthened capacities of local NGOs to cascade the Norm-Shift Accelerator.
•    Mobilization of women/youth-led CSOs for norm-shifting campaigns.
•    Adoption and implementation of sub-national plans and policies on child marriage.
