Project type and goal: The PORIBESH project is community-cantered initiative aimed at empowering marginalized communities in western Bangladesh affected by climate change. It involves a multi-faceted approach, incorporating elements of sustainable livelihood development, climate resilience, and capacity-building within local civil society organizations. Its core focus areas to revolve around fostering self-reliance, empowering marginalized groups, and advocating for their rights in the face of climate-induced challenges. The overall goal of the project is “marginalised and climate change-affected people in western Bangladesh have built climate-resilient livelihoods and local civil society is strengthened to protect and promote the rights of marginalised groups”.
